March 2010:

HPS is delighted to advise thanks to the generous support of our customers, suppliers and staff we raised a record £12,762.51 in 2009 for our chosen charity "Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital". This means we have now reached our target of £29,118.00 for the construction of new cardiac reception area to be located within the new hospital redevelopment.

March 2010: HPS Heating Plumbing Supplies Limited is delighted to announce another year of record sales for 2009. Sales were up on 2008 by 8% to £33,334,000, profits were slightly down (£1.2M) reflecting the tougher market conditions and that despite a difficult year HPS has continued to invest in branch expansion with another four branches opened during 2009 at Ashford, Christchurch, Lymington and Poole. A further branch has already been opened so far this year (2010) in Chichester, West Sussex.

This further strengthens our position as the main independent alternative to the national merchant groups across the South. I am confident we can expect to see growth in our sales and profits this year, In addition we will continue to invest in new branch expansion when we come across suitable opportunities as well as further developing our existing web sales. We also anticipate a rapid increase in sales of renewable products over the next eighteen months and are looking to position ourselves accordingly".

October 2009: New branch in Ashford

March 2009: HPS announce record sales and two new branches to open in Dorset

HPS is delighted to announce sales in 2008 were a record £30.881M up from £28.037M in 2007. Profits however were down from £2.100M in 2007 to £1.601M in 2008 reflecting the tougher trading conditions in the second half of the year and the opening of three new branches. Having already opened a branch in Lymington in Hampshire in January this year, we plan to open further new branches during May located at Poole and Christchurch, both in Dorset. Teams of local staff have been recruited and are well known in both towns which will ensure HPS offer customers in the area an unrivalled level of merchant service and a real independent alternative to the national merchant groups.

These two new branches now bring the HPS network up to twenty-four branches opened in the seven and a half years that the company has been trading.

HPS Managing Director: Ron Walker has won "ACHIEVER of the Year" at the recent 2008 Builders Merchant News "Awards for Excellence" event.

Despite the current climate, Sales Director Peter Wilson predicts 2008 sales will be in excess of £30M and continued expansion is planned with an additional branch due to open in Lymington, Hampshire, in early January 2009.
